Charlotte White who has been the most stalwart member of the Friends of Hank Snow Society is celebrating her 87th Birthday Saturday, August 30th from 2-4 pm at the Hank Snow Museum and the Gazebo Park area. (In case of rain, the entire celebration will be in the Museum). There will be an Open House and Birthday Cake.

Charlotte wants folks to join her and instead of birthday cards and gifts, she would appreciate a donation of a “loonie” or whatever you wish. Any donations received will be used by the Society to help maintain the Hank Snow Community Park and are in tip-top condition.This area is near and dear to Charlotte’s heart. Dr. Howard Locke and his wife Elsie, donated 5.73 acres of property to the Friends of Hank Snow Society with one stipulation “to create a park to honour all veterans but in particular those from “Bristol Avenue” namely those (Gordon Hirtle, Horace Clements, Sydney Ford, Cedric & Carman Dixon) who gave their lives in both World Wars.Charlotte has a wonderful timeline from 2005 to 2018 and she will have this on display on Saturday.She said it would be the “best Birthday present I could ask for if I knew there would be finances to help with the upkeep of the Park”.Hope to see you come to greet Charlotte and help her celebrate her birthday on Saturday, August 30th.See you there !!!! ...
